Amit's 6-month-long Trek To The Himalayas

It’s a known fact that Amit Sadh has been signed on to bring adventurous mountaineer Ashok Munnae's story to life on the big screen.

Ashok is a 30-year old physically challenged mountaineer from Nagpur, Maharashtra. He lost his right leg in a train accident in 2008 but after that, has conquered several peaks in the Himalayas. He made an attempt to scale the Himalayas in 2013 and called it Mission Everest. His desire was to be the first physically challenged person from India to do so.

As part of his preparation for the biopic, Amit will head out on a 6-month long trip with the mountaineer from Nagpur towards the Himalayas. The actor will cross several states in the country and a few neighbouring countries before reaching the final destination.

The yet-to-be-titled film is being helmed by director Shivam Nair, who has made movies like Ahista Ahista, Maharathi and Bhaag Johnny. The biopic will go on floors mid-next year.

Interestingly, even Farhan Akhtar will be directing a biopic on Arunima Sinha, Indias first female amputee to scale the Himalayas.
